Job description

Role Profile:

OFFICE London is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to join our team. The main purpose of this role is to support the Merchandising team in trading the Ladies and Men’s MTO departments and planning future ranges. The Assistant Merchandiser will have full ownership of allocations and distribution within the department, maximizing sales potential across stores and online platforms. They will also support, develop, and train the allocator.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Support the Merchandising team in trading the department by forecasting sales, updating linecards, placing repeats, and planning markdowns.
  2. Assist in planning future ranges through sales forecasting and range planning with the Buying team to maximize sales opportunities.
  3. Produce and analyze daily and weekly reports to support merchandising decisions.
  4. Take full ownership of all allocations and distribution within the department.
  5. Collaborate with stores to optimize stock packages, ensuring they are not overstocked, focusing on flagship stores, German stores, the website, and concessions.
  6. Plan options by grade to prevent over-optioning in stores.
  7. Manage weekly stock intake for the department.
  8. Support, develop, and train the allocator to achieve departmental and individual objectives.
  9. Present figures, provide information, and contribute to meetings.
