Assistant Merchandiser, Outlets

Role Overview

As part of our Outlets Merchandising department, you'll join us as an Assistant Merchandiser, supporting the Merchandiser with planning and trading of the division to drive sales, maximise profit, and minimise markdowns.

Who You Are

• Experience in a similar role at Assistant Merchandiser level or as a Senior Merchandising Admin/Senior Allocator
• Previous experience within an Outlets team is preferred
• Highly analytical with strong numerical skills, advanced in Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of the WSSI & the WSSI process
• Commercial awareness
• Passion to develop a long-term career within Merchandising
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and plan workload by priority according to department requirements
• Initiative, self-motivation, and ownership

Responsibilities

• Producing weekly trading reports to summarise, analyse, and identify key drivers
• Managing order placement and intake plans with suppliers to maintain planned stock levels
• Reviewing and reforecasting continuity lines regularly
• Managing warehouse intake in collaboration with the buying team, warehouse, and suppliers
• Highlighting delivery discrepancies and proposing necessary actions
• Working closely with the Trainee Merchandiser to manage stock intake and allocation
• Supporting the Merchandiser in trading category areas and creating Lessons Learned
• Producing sizing analysis, reviewing slow lines, and proposing & implementing markdowns
• Conducting attribute analysis across colour, price, sizing, and ranges in preparation for buying reviews
• Attending critical path meetings
