Assistant Merchandiser – Part Time – Permanent
Company Overview
We’re a young and growing retailer of home and industrial storage solutions based close to Chelmsford, Essex. We are looking to recruit an experienced Buyers Assistant to join our small and friendly team.
Summary
We are looking for someone with previous experience working in a merchandising role. You will need to have good attention to detail, be organised, computer literate and able to work effectively as part of a team.
This role will suit a calm and patient individual who has a positive and enthusiastic approach to their work, who thrives off working in a busy environment.
Responsibilities
Working closely with the Buyer
Preparing weekly management information and reports
Schedule and manage departments deliveries from suppliers.
Working with the Merchandiser to generate promotional proposals
Management of new and repeat/continuity orders using stock forecasts
Opportunity to plan and manage a category, working alongside the Buyer
Maintaining awareness of competition’s product offers and monitor competitor’s activity making recommendations to drive sales and realise opportunities
Implementing and exploiting new systems and processes
Product set up on Shopify and CRM systems
Complete any other ad hoc administrative duties in order to provide full support to the Buying Dept
Requirements
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and targets.
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Confident with a Positive, can-do attitude
Accuracy & attention to detail
The successful Candidate will be ideally located locally, within a 10–15 mile radius of our office in Writtle.
The working hours are 4 hours per day 5 days a week – flexible between:
Start 9.00am / 9.30am
Finish 1.30pm / 2.00pm
Salary Range 13k – 18k depending on experience
