Job summary

The Fragrance Shop in Trafford Park, Manchester, is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support the Merchandising team with supplier brands, forecasts, stock and availability.

The role combines analytical rigour with commercial decision-making and brand collaboration, reporting to the Merchandising and Buying teams. You will build relationships with suppliers, review promotional performance, and help maximise sales in a fast-paced beauty environment.

Responsibilities

About the role:

This is a commercially focused Assistant Merchandiser role to support the Merchandising team in managing key supplier brands. You will work closely with the Merchandising team, Buying team, Account Managers and external brand partners.

You will be responsible for supporting the Merchandising team with reporting, forecasting, stock and availability, while also acting as a strategic commercial partner to brands.

This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Merchandiser who enjoys combining analytical rigour with commercial decision-making and brand collaboration.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work alongside the Merchandising team to support in building relationships for supplier accounts, collaborating with brands and Account Managers to align forecasts, stock, ranging and commercial priorities.
• Alongside Merchandising team, support with supplier forecasts, replenishment, newness buys, stockholding, ranging and availability.
• Reviewing promotional performance and NPD performance with the Buying team.
• Reacting to sales and changes in the market, ensuring sales are maximised and KPIs are met.

What you’ll bring:

• Currently working at Assistant Merchandiser level.

Preferred but not essential:

• Experience within a fast-paced Beauty/Retail/FMCG environment.
