A fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to join a clothing retailer in Leeds. The business sells multi-product clothing through various channels including stores and ecommerce. They also have an apparel range made from over 40% recycled materials.

Job Description

  1. Review & reforecast core line cards weekly based on current performance. Propose actions in weekly trade to merchandiser on re-groups, par adjustments, phasing current commitments, or additional buys.
  2. Review best sellers report weekly at line level. Suggest actions to merchandiser regarding best/worst sellers: re-groups, distribution, intake, and markdown proposals.
  3. Coordinate intake by working closely with the Merchandiser to review weekly delivery schedules and manage critical path intake. Raise concerns impacting product launches, promotional activities, or stock levels.
  4. Liaise with suppliers and warehouse to ensure priority stock is on time and promptly stored.
  5. Collaborate with retail team to address store stock issues and take appropriate actions.
  6. Maintain WSSI; ensure OTB is updated weekly, intake is scheduled correctly, and monitor store stock targets and YOY stock variance.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience as a Merchandise Assistant, Senior Merchandise Assistant, Assistant Merchandiser, or similar role.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and excellent Excel skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn.
