Assistant Merchandiser - Beauty Industry - Full-time position

The Beauty Crop — London, Greater London

This is a full-time permanent role with a hybrid working model. You will need to be in the West London office 3 days a week.

Position Overview

We are a young and dynamic beauty company operating primarily in the E-commerce space, with impressive growth within 18 months of operations.

Our mission is to create a fun yet serious brand with plant-based, nutritional formulas that transform the skin from within without breaking the bank.

We seek an Assistant Product Planner who is both commercial/analytical and product-focused; supporting the Product and Ecom teams with sales performance analysis, managing Product Library and Critical Path, stock levels, and ensuring smooth NPD launches. We want a motivated, eager-to-learn multi-tasker who adapts easily to a fast-paced trading environment.

The Assistant Product Planner will be a key product trading expert impacting our ongoing success.

Responsibilities

Product Performance & Trading

• Run and distribute reports (daily/weekly/ad hoc), providing insights
• Support category strategy and OTB planning with analysis
• Recommend NPD/OTB adjustments and range improvements
• Update and forecast product line cards, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Review stock levels across warehouses, suggesting transfers and phasing
• Manage inventory, including slow sellers
• Collaborate with Ecommerce on trading, merchandising, promotions, and campaigns (including TikTok Live)
• Assist in site performance analysis, testing, and improvements
• Recommend pricing and promotional strategies
• Ensure accurate pricing across channels and territories

Product Lifecycle Management

• Manage rebuys from PO to intake, coordinating with NPD and Operations
• Maintain up-to-date Product Library
• Track NPD from concept to launch, meeting Critical Path deadlines
• Manage sample inventory for shoots and events
• Support the delivery of trade and marketing calendars, maintaining communication
• Work with Ecom team to track digital assets

Qualifications/Skills

• 2-3 years experience in Merchandising, Planning, or E-commerce
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, understanding retail metrics (ROS, stock cover, margin)
• Knowledge of E-commerce performance metrics (conversion rate, page views, AOV, basket size)
• Understanding of critical path and product lifecycle
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience with TikTok Shop is a bonus
