Assistant Merchandiser - Beauty Industry - Full time position

The Beauty Crop — London, Greater London

This is a full-time permanent role. We offer a hybrid working model, requiring presence in the West London office 3 days a week.

Position Overview

We are a young, dynamic beauty company operating primarily in e-commerce, with impressive growth within 18 months of operation.

Our mission is to create a fun yet serious brand with plant-based, nutritional formulas that transform skin from within without high costs.

We seek an Assistant Product Planner who is analytical and product-focused to support our Product and E-commerce teams in monitoring sales performance, managing Product Library, stock levels, and supporting NPD launches. We want a proactive multi-tasker adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

The Assistant Product Planner will be a key product trading expert impacting our success.

Responsibilities

• Run and analyze daily/weekly reports with commentary
• Support category strategy and OTB planning
• Recommend NPD/OTB actions and range improvements
• Update product line forecasts, identify risks and opportunities
• Review stock levels and suggest transfers or phasing
• Manage inventory, slow sellers, and out-of-stock items
• Collaborate with E-commerce for trading, merchandising, and campaigns
• Analyze site performance and implement KPI improvements
• Suggest promotional and pricing strategies
• Maintain accurate pricing across channels

Product Lifecycle Management

• Manage rebuys from PO to intake with NPD and operations teams
• Maintain Product Library accuracy
• Track NPD from concept to launch, meet deadlines
• Manage sample inventory for shoots and events
• Coordinate trade and marketing calendars with stakeholders
• Work with Ecom team on digital assets

Qualifications/Skills

• 2-3 years experience in Merchandising, Planning, or E-commerce
• Strong analytical skills, understanding retail metrics (ROS, stock cover, margin)
• Knowledge of E-commerce performance metrics (conversion rate, views, AOV, basket size)
• Understanding of critical path and product lifecycle
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Tiktok shop experience is a plus
