Covering maternity leave for 12 months, working within a Merchandising team of 34, this role is ideal for someone with strong planning and analytical skills. You will collaborate with the B&M teams to maximise commercial opportunities through effective inventory management, while driving sales through improved availability, forecasting, and profit maximisation.
Day-to-day, as the key contact for all category analysis, you will provide weekly summaries of performance related to sales, stock, profit, and markdowns versus budget and last year. You will manage stock intake flow to meet monthly forecasts, drive sales, and minimise risks, working closely with the Merchandising Assistant to control inventory levels, allocations, and replenishments.
Partnering with the buying team, you will help build and optimise ranges, create seasonal strategies and forecasts, and provide historical analysis to develop forward forecasts. Alongside the Senior Merchandiser, you will update and manage the Open To Buy for your category and assist in developing the Merchandising Assistants.
The role is based in Avonmouth on a hybrid basis – 2-3 days per week.
