About the role

We are recruiting for an ambitious Assistant Merchandiser to join our Celebrations team at Tesco. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will support the Merchandising Planning Manager to ensure products arrive at the right place and time. Ideal candidates will have merchandising experience, an analytical mindset, and a commercial outlook.

You will be responsible for

  • Providing merchandising support, preparing analysis, and collaborating with teams and suppliers
  • Gathering market and competitor insights
  • Building balanced product ranges to meet sales and profit targets
  • Managing order critical paths, line projections, and database accuracy
  • Handling product intake, launches, and events
  • Producing weekly sales, margin, and stock analysis
  • Scheduling promotions and markdowns
  • Resolving supply chain issues to meet stock targets
  • Supporting strategy preparation and risk analysis
  • Adhering to the Business Code of Conduct with integrity
