About the role

We are recruiting for an ambitious and diligent Assistant Merchandiser to join our Celebrations team at Tesco. As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will support the Merchandising Planning Manager to ensure products are available at the right place and time, playing a vital role within the team.

• Providing merchandising support to ensure departmental efficiency, including analysis and collaboration with teams and suppliers
• Gathering market and competitor insights to understand customer preferences
• Building balanced product ranges to meet sales, stock, and profit targets
• Managing order critical paths, line projections, and database accuracy
• Handling product intake and supporting launches and events
• Producing weekly sales, stock, and margin reports
• Scheduling promotions and markdowns across channels
• Resolving supply chain issues to meet stock and availability targets
• Supporting strategy preparation through analysis of trends and history
• Adhering to our Business Code of Conduct with integrity and diligence
