Job description

Leading Travel Agency and Tour Operator brand known for its mid to luxury products and personal service is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join their Nottingham Retail Travel Branch. They promote their own holidays and have the flexibility to sell from a wide range of Tour Operators, allowing you to offer customers a variety of worldwide itineraries while supporting the Manager and assisting team members.

Package: Basic salary £28k pa plus commission (OTE £35k pa), with wide-ranging benefits.

Job Description:

  • Share your experience with new and existing team members.
  • Support the Store Manager in daily operations and development, deputising as needed.
  • Achieve sales targets by maximising profit and sales opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop your team, recognising individual potential.
  • Provide personal service, listening to customer needs and tailoring holidays accordingly.
  • Sell in-house or from other suppliers to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage the customer journey post-booking, including amendments, upgrades, and follow-up to encourage repeat business.
  • Work a rota of 5 days out of 7, Mon-Sun, 0900-1730, fully branch-based with no late evenings.

Experience Required:

Previous experience in retail travel agency, tour operator, or online travel sales management, with good worldwide destination knowledge and a focus on building rapport and providing personal service.
