Job summary

Redemption Roasters in Holborn is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead our cafe and drive its daily success. You will support the Coffee Shop Manager, lead shifts, and nurture a high-performing team dedicated to quality coffee and exceptional hospitality.

You will coach, guide, and empower staff across all cafe areas, ensure stock control, cleanliness, and safety, and contribute to a welcoming environment that reflects our social mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years cafe or restaurant management, supervisory or senior barista experience.
• Right to work full-time in the UK.
• Weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Coffee Shop Manager in leading day-to-day operations and stepping in when needed.
• Motivate and guide the team through busy shifts to maintain excellent hospitality and pace.
• Coach on the floor, giving clear, constructive feedback to help team growth.
• Work across all areas of the café, from barista to kitchen, leading by example.
• Handle stock, cleanliness, and shift safety to ensure smooth operations.
• Support the team and participants in aligning with Redemption Roasters' mission and values.
• Communicate effectively with the Manager to share insights and drive performance.
