Sewerby Hall and Gardens is seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Manager to support the continued growth and success of this award-winning destination. Set in a stunning cliff-top location, Sewerby Hall offers a unique blend of heritage, horticulture, wildlife, and family-friendly events - and we're looking for an enthusiastic individual to help us deliver an outstanding visitor experience every day.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Provide confident and visible leadership to a multi-disciplinary team across the attraction, ensuring excellent customer service and operational excellence.
  2. Drive business development opportunities, helping to shape and deliver new events, activities, and revenue streams that align with our brand and appeal to a wide audience.
  3. Work closely with the management team on day-to-day operations, planning, and delivery of the visitor experience across the Hall, Gardens, Zoo, retail, catering, and events.
  4. Maintain a high standard of presentation and visitor care, always striving for continuous improvement and innovation.
  5. Support financial performance through budget awareness, cost control, and commercial insight.
  6. Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, partners, and customers, championing the values and reputation of Sewerby Hall and Gardens.
What we're looking for:
  1. Experience in visitor attractions, hospitality, tourism, or similar customer-focused environments.
  2. Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, positive, and proactive approach.
  3. A passion for delivering memorable experiences and creating a welcoming environment for all.
  4. Commercial awareness and confidence in contributing to business planning and performance monitoring.
  5. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required.
