Job Title: Assistant Manager / Senior Hire Controller

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: £31,000 Basic, Profit Share Bonus, Company Pension, 25 Days Holiday, Full Product Training.

We have a brand-new opportunity available for an Assistant Manager / Senior Hire Controller to join a well-established, national hire company. Joining their friendly team within the Gloucester branch, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the hire desk, overseeing the team, and ensuring the smooth and efficient management of equipment rentals. This role involves working closely with the Depot Manager to oversee customer service, managing hire processes, and coordinating with various departments to meet client needs.

Responsibilities of the Role:
  • Ensure all customers receive excellent service by promptly addressing inquiries, managing orders, and resolving any issues.
  • Assist in managing daily hire desk and depot based activities, including handling bookings, scheduling deliveries/collections, and maintaining records of equipment hire.
  • Provide support and guidance to the hire desk team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Identify areas for operational improvements and assist the Depot Manager in implementing new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Requirements of Role:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a Hire Desk Controller, Assistant Manager, or Tool Hire Manager role.
  • Previous experience working within the Construction Hire industry is required.
  • Strong team work skills, with the capability of demonstrating leadership qualities.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem solving skills.
