Job Title: Assistant Manager / Senior Hire Controller

Location: Gloucestershire

Salary: £31,000 Basic, Profit Share Bonus, Company Pension, 25 Days Holiday, Full Product Training

We have a brand-new opportunity for an Assistant Manager / Senior Hire Controller to join a well-established, national hire company. Based in Gloucester, you will support daily operations of the hire desk, oversee the team, and ensure smooth equipment rental management. Your role involves working closely with the Depot Manager to oversee customer service, manage hire processes, and coordinate across departments to meet client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, managing orders, and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist in managing daily hire desk and depot activities, including bookings, scheduling deliveries/collections, and record-keeping.
  • Support and guide the hire desk team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to procedures.
  • Identify operational improvements and help implement new processes to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a Hire Desk Controller, Assistant Manager, or Tool Hire Manager role.
  • Previous experience in the Construction Hire industry is essential.
