Job details

Reporting to the General Manager of National Training Rinks, the Assistant Manager is a key member of the Management Team and plays a vital role in executing the rink's programming and daily operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone eager to take on diverse responsibilities and expand their knowledge of the sports facility business.

  • Lead and assist with on-ice instructional programs, private lessons, camps, and clinics.
  • Coordinate and manage 3 on 3 Adult and Youth Leagues.
  • Handle daily office tasks such as registrations, website updates, and sales.
  • Perform facility maintenance, including operating the ice resurfacer and general cleaning/upkeep.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Sport Management, Recreation, or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years coaching hockey and/or running skill development sessions.
  • At least five years of hockey playing experience, preferably at a high level (Junior, University, Professional).
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • Strong writing, computer, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
