DISCOVER THE ROLE

Based in our London office, you will support the Head of Private Wealth & Family Office in managing a diverse portfolio of trust and charity clients. You will prepare trust tax returns and accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. This role offers career development in a supportive, flexible, and collaborative environment, with a hybrid working model (two days in-office, three days remote).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing year-end accounts and supporting schedules for trusts and charities
  • Preparing trust and charity tax returns
  • Reviewing and updating charity policies annually
  • Understanding and applying the Charities SORP and guidance
  • Preparing inheritance tax and ATED returns
  • Attending trustee meetings and preparing minutes
  • Reviewing trainee work in some cases
  • Liaising with HMRC on enquiries
  • Working with clients, trustees, and advisors for seamless service
  • Building relationships with clients and the wider team
  • Monitoring client profitability and assisting with debt collection
  • Enhancing existing processes and supporting business development
  • Keeping updated on UK tax changes

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build client and colleague relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, confident with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in private client work, preferably trusts
  • Proactive, self-managing, detail-oriented
  • Enthusiastic about growth and development
  • CTA or ACA part/full qualified, or qualified by experience, with at least 3 years in a client-facing environment
  • Membership of STEP is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in-house packages
  • Minimum 3 A-levels and 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English and Maths
