Job Description
We are seeking a talented newly qualified team member to join our Private Tax team in London. The team is responsible for delivering annual tax compliance and planning work for a diverse portfolio of Trust clients.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of the delivery team working on client compliance, planning, routine checks, and practice development. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to build their career in a growing and supportive environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high-quality service to a portfolio of Trust clients
  • Managing all aspects of portfolio administration including compliance, accounts, tax returns, and computations
  • Identifying potential planning opportunities
  • Preparing reports for clients
  • Responding to client inquiries regarding trust tax affairs

Qualifications

To be successful, you should:

  • Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines
  • Possess strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence with clients and HMRC
  • Have good interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
  • Be able to meet deadlines and respond promptly to client needs
  • Support and supervise junior staff and assist Directors

Education and Qualifications:

  • ACA/CTA/STEP or equivalent qualification (preferred)

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience within a professional services firm
  • Knowledge of personal tax compliance, with some exposure to planning/advisory work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective liaising
