A leading education college in the UK is seeking an Assistant Manager for PR and Communications. This role involves managing social media marketing, engaging with stakeholders, and preparing bilingual communications. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Journalism, along with at least 5 years of relevant marketing experience in the education sector. Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is essential.

Assistant Manager, PR and Communications

Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education Limited

This position aims to strengthen the admissions, marketing, and promotion work of the College. It provides professional support in PR and communications.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver the daily marketing and communications activity for the College on social media channels.
  • Formulate content strategy with different business units of the College.
  • Plan and execute engagement strategies with key stakeholders including key opinion leaders, policy makers, legislators, media, and the general public.
  • Work with external agencies to conduct a full range of corporate communications and PR activities, including media events, media releases, media interviews and media enquiry handling in physical and online formats.
  • Prepare bilingual communications for senior executives, including speeches, presentations, and articles.
  • Take up other tasks as assigned by the College.
Job Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Journalism or related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of marketing experience in the tertiary education sector or with the sales and customer servicing sector. Previous working experience in the education sector is preferable.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different stakeholders and external parties.
  • A good sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
  • Able to handle tasks independently with minimum supervision.
  • Able to adopt a positive attitude to the team’s objectives and maintain collaborative work relationships with team members.
  • Experience in managing social media platforms and web content is an advantage.
