Job summary

Loungers plc is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support Cortillo Lounge in Kendal. The role offers a competitive salary with bonus and overtime, plus real progression opportunities within a growing hospitality brand.

You will lead shifts, coach the team, manage rotas and KPIs, handle customer issues, assist with recruitment, and be a welcoming, on-floor host. A strong hospitality background and people orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Supervisor/Deputy/Assistant Manager in hospitality.
• Strong people skills and guest-focused approach.
• Ability to lead shifts, coach others and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of shifts (opens/closes/weekends) and motivate the team.
• Coach staff with feedback to improve performance.
• Manage rotas, stock, labour, and KPIs (NPS, sales, gross profit).
• Handle escalated customer complaints and maintain allergen/food safety standards.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new starters.
• Be a visible host on the floor to uphold the Lounges experience.
