Job summary

The Mallard in Tidbury Green, part of Brunning & Price Limited, is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the daily operation of our busy pub and lead the front-of-house team. You will help train staff, manage service, and run events while ensuring guest satisfaction.

You will influence beverage selections, support promotional activities, and contribute to a welcoming and efficient guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role in a neighbourhood pub setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within a gastro pub, restaurant, bar or hospitality setting.
• Ability to train and lead a front-of-house team (bar/waiting).
• Experience managing busy services and coordinating events.
• Knowledge of beers on tap, and wines and spirits selection.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and oversee daily front-of-house service at The Mallard, Tidbury Green.
• Train and lead the bar/waiting team to deliver excellent guest experiences.
• Manage busy service periods and coordinate events and promotions.
• Decide beer on tap, gin/wine selections and run promotional events.
