Job description

Our client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Global Compliance Services team on a full-time basis. The role can be based in Jersey, Guernsey, or the United Kingdom. This position plays a key part in fostering a culture of compliance by supporting the development, enhancement, and testing of global risk policies and procedures. You will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Job Duties:

  • Update and develop global risk and compliance policies and procedures to reflect legal and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions.
  • Conduct independent research and collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial crime, financial services, data protection, confidentiality, and relevant Law Society Codes.
  • Work closely with internal legal teams and business controls functions to analyse new legal and regulatory developments.
  • Collaborate with Business Services functions such as Finance and HR to align internal policies and procedures with compliance requirements.
  • Assist with maintaining the compliance SharePoint platform and explore opportunities for digital tool adoption and service automation.
  • Participate in control testing as part of the Compliance Monitoring Programme, a schedule of risk-based reviews across multiple licences.
  • Support stakeholder queries and contribute to periodic compliance reporting, including updates on policy changes and monitoring outcomes.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a client administration, compliance, risk, or operational control role within a regulated financial services business.
  • Strong understanding of regulated corporate and fiduciary services, particularly in Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, and BVI.
  • Familiarity with UK or EU regulatory environments is desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations relevant to Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, BVI, and the UK.
  • Ability to work independently, manage large volumes of information, and analyse data with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and professionally.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach, with strong organisational, analytical, and time management skills.
