Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Processing new company incorporation requests electronically through our specialist software, as well as supporting junior members of the team with this process.
  • Assisting with annual filing requirements on behalf of clients, including both the preparation and filing of documents.
  • Assisting with the preparation of legal documentation and Companies House forms relating to routine company changes.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients in relation to statutory filings and approvals, with the supervision of a senior member of the team.
  • Supporting clients and internal colleagues with complex company secretarial matters, including changes to share capital structures, share capital reductions, dividends and company restorations.
  • Providing support to our corporate legal teams in relation to complex corporate transactions.
  • Assisting senior team members with board and committee support to clients from a wide range of sectors, including the use of board portal systems.
  • Supporting on governance and advisory projects, such as framework and process reviews and annual report drafting.
  • Drafting, inputting and presenting on legislative and governance-related updates to clients and internal colleagues.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues and peers.
  • Attending and engaging in networking opportunities.
  • Supporting with business development initiatives.
  • Ensuring strong working relationships are built, both with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Involvement in client onboarding processes and ongoing administrative tasks, including risk management and finance administration.

Education and Qualifications

  • The applicant will have achieved a degree qualification.
  • Qualified or part-qualified Chartered Secretary/ Governance Professional with the Chartered Governance Institute.

Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the company secretarial profession, supporting a wide range of company secretarial tasks for a portfolio of clients.
  • Ideally experienced in supporting with board and committee support.
  • Ideally experienced in the use of legal entity management software.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational, attention to detail and personal skills are essential.
