Pullman & Mercure Brisbane King George Square is a large, vibrant 438-room twin-towered hotel serving leisure and business travelers, as well as external-facing venues. Located opposite King George Square and City Hall, in the heart of Brisbane CBD, the hotel features some of the largest conference spaces in Brisbane, including 2 ballrooms.

The hotel also boasts popular external venues like Goldfinch Restaurant and Street Café, Sixteen Antlers Rooftop Bar, as well as internal venues like KG Bar, Expresso Bar, and our Executive Lounge.

We are looking for our next Duty Manager - Front Office to join our team!

Job Description
  • Assist with the management of all operational departments as required
  • Manage roster, costings, and forecasting
  • Develop the professional skills of Guest Service Agents & Porters to ensure strong succession planning
  • Set KPIs for Front Office & guest satisfaction, and oversee their achievement
  • Process check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed
  • Assist in all hotel areas to resolve potential issues, including Food & Beverage operations
  • Attend promptly to guest requests, leading by example through proactive and resourceful actions
  • Ensure the health and safety of all patrons, guests, and staff
  • Oversee the entire guest experience from reservation to departure
Qualifications
  • A natural, bright, and bubbly customer service style that surprises guests and sets you apart
  • Strong time management skills and experience managing large airline crew movements
  • Proficiency in Opera, Microsoft Word, and Outlook; hold a Senior First Aid Certificate, QLD RSA, and a manual driver’s license
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, overnight, and public holidays, as per business needs
