What you will be doing?

Our Financial Reporting team is currently looking for a talented Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting to join their team in Birmingham. The Financial Reporting team is a part of the wider team of Audit and Assurance, which will give you a great opportunity to collaborate with other teams across Audit and Tax. In your role, you will focus on preparation of complex financial statements (under both IFRS and UK GAAP), consolidations and working for a diverse portfolio of clients.

As Assistant Manager - Financial Reporting, your responsibilities will include among others:

  • Preparing complex financial statements (such as consolidation and IFRS)
  • Supporting other managers within the team with various administrative tasks and projects that arise from time to time
  • Ensuring quality is consistent and to a high level across all outputs.
  • Interacting with clients to undertake accounting work as required - both over telephone/e-mail and potentially occasional on-site client visits.
  • Working closely with the audit and business tax teams to provide a seamless service to clients and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Sharing ideas about how best to operate the accounts preparation process in order to improve efficiencies for the firm.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Have ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualification
  • Exposure or previous experience in Financial Reporting
  • Great attention to detail
  • Very good communication skills as you will be collaborating with different teams

Desired skills:

  • Previous IFRS experience would be great but not required.
