Job description

We are Hiring for a position of Assistant Manager - Banking Operations for a bank based in Harrow.

Job Role

The purpose of this role is to oversee the operational aspects of retail branches, assist with their day-to-day queries, and review account reconciliations such as Nostro, Sundry, and Suspense. The role also involves overseeing the Credit Admin Department and reconciliation of accounts held with third parties like LMS. The candidate will be expected to visit all branches at least once a quarter to review operations and provide training where needed.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee retail branches with the help of the Head of Branch Operations.
  • Oversee reconciliation of NOSTRO/VOSTRO accounts.
  • Review loan accounts for compliance with sanction terms at disbursement and ongoing, including interest, fees, charges, security creation, and valuations.
  • Review reports generated by the Credit Admin Department on a sample basis.
  • Ensure data accuracy in credit data maintained by the Credit Admin Department.
  • Ensure credit operations comply with credit policies.
  • Review branch Sundry and Suspense accounts, complaint processes, and charges returns.
  • Handle requests related to deceased cases, investigations, and legal data requests.
  • Control unclaimed accounts and oversee branch operations onsite and offsite, submitting reports to higher management.
  • Improve process manuals, SOPs, and policies.
  • Submit MI reports to hierarchy and branches.
  • Perform any other duties delegated by the Head of Branch Operations.
