Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking an Assistant Manager in Audit Quality to support the System of Quality Management (SoQM) in line with ISQM (UK) 1 and to foster a culture of audit quality across the practice. You will assist the Manager with risk assessments, monitoring activities, evidence gathering, and outreach to internal teams, including preparation for quality reviews.

The role requires ACA/ACCA or equivalent (or nearing qualification), strong communication, and knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and

Qualifications

• Professional qualification ACA/ACCA or equivalent, or in final stages.
• Experience in an Audit or Internal Audit environment.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing operation of the SoQM in line with ISQM (UK) 1.
• Embed a culture of audit quality through guidance and training.
• Assist Manager with risk assessments and responses across SoQM components.
• Carry out monitoring activities, testing and root cause analysis.
• Prepare and maintain documentation evidencing SoQM design and operation.
• Act as first point of contact for audit teams on quality queries.
• Support engagement with internal stakeholders across the audit practice.
• Assist for internal and external quality reviews and inspections.
• Contribute to development of firm policies, methodologies and tools.
