About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping unforgettable guest experiences while supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the pub.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help drive sales, coach and inspire your team, and bring energy to a space where food, drink, and warm hospitality come together.

Who are You?

  • An experienced individual who loves a great pub and wants to be an integral part of Livelyhood's story.
  • Someone who loves creating top-notch guest experiences and thrives on putting a smile on both the team’s and guests’ faces.
  • You are passionate about developing people, coaching them, and seeing their progression.
  • You enjoy proactively supporting the General Manager to drive sales and exceed targets.
  • Previous experience working with food and outdoor spaces would be a strong advantage.
  • You’ve successfully held a management role in a busy, high-performing pub or restaurant (with a weekly turnover of £15k+).

This is a role where you will truly partner with the General Manager and work with the team to grow the business, creating memorable guest experiences and delivering excellent hospitality to our Wanstead community.

What we are offering

  • A competitive salary between £30,420-£33,420 based on your experience.
  • Additional tronc/service payments & a bonus plan - £700 bonus pot a quarter.
  • Excellent, supportive working environment with 45 hours working weeks as the norm.
  • Milestone rewards and recognition scheme - starts after 6 months with us and continues!
  • 40% food and drink discount for you and 3 guests, valid in all sites from day 1.
  • Hospitality apprenticeships available to support your development.
  • Access to 35% of your earned pay on demand for financial flexibility.
  • Wellbeing-focused employer with Mental Health First Aiders & employee assistance support.
