The Responsibilities: The role involves compliance and advisory duties, including:

  • Developing and maintaining technical knowledge across real estate taxes, including REITs.

Supporting client relationship management and project oversight, serving as a key contact within real estate taxes.

  • Understanding client businesses and collaborating across KPMG to identify service opportunities.

Developing and advising on innovative client propositions, participating in business development and proposals.

  • Collaborating with teams across the UK and globally to deliver high-quality real estate tax support.

Engaging in the development of new client solutions, working with technology teams to create and market these offerings, ensuring top service quality.

  • Advocating for KPMG and the real estate tax team to grow the business through high-quality client services.


The Person:

The ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following skills:

  • Deep technical expertise in tax or financial services, such as qualifications in tax, audit, finance, law, or significant practical experience.

Practical experience with real estate taxes within a financial services context, whether industry or professional services.

  • Understanding of financial markets, participants, and products, including property rental businesses, hotels, institutional investors, custodians, asset managers, and private equity.

Good knowledge of Corporation Tax compliance, CIR, Anti-hybrids, REITs, QIPS.

  • Excellent project management, delegation, coaching, and client-facing skills.

Familiarity and enthusiasm for working with emerging technologies and integrating this knowledge with evolving tax regulations.

  • Ability to leverage new tax developments to create client propositions.
