Loungers plc is hiring an Assistant Manager for Fosso Lounge. You’ll support the General Manager, lead a team across shifts, and ensure guests leave happy. The role offers a competitive base with bonus, overtime and clear progression opportunities in a growing hospitality brand.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hospitality teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to coach and develop staff on shift.
• Strong customer service focus with a welcoming host mindset.
• Knowledge of allergen awareness and food safety basics.
• Proven track record of managing shifts end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts including opening/closing, delegating tasks, and driving performance.
• Coach team with regular feedback to sustain a positive work environment.
• Monitor rotas, labour, and KPIs, and support the General Manager with operational needs.
• Handle escalated customer issues with sound judgment and uphold safety standards.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new staff to ensure smooth start for new hires.
• Be an active, visible host and reinforce the Lounges reputation locally.

What You'll Do

• Lead a variety of shifts (opens/closes/weekends) - from pre-shift briefings and delegating to your team, always engaging and motivating the team throughout
• Coach your team through regular and honest feedback, creating a place people genuinely want to work
• Understand rotas, stock, labour, KPIs (NPS, sales, gross profit) - and know how to support your General Manager when things aren't where they should be
• Handle escalated customer complaints with confidence and good judgement, and maintain allergen and food safety standards across the team
• Support recruitment of new starters and help them feel set up to succeed from day one
• Be a visible, welcoming host on the floor and help build your Lounges reputation as the go-to spot in the local community
