Our client, an award-winning bakery, has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join their team in Taunton with a salary of £28K P.A.

The Role
  1. Plan, manage, control, and review bakery operations to ensure excellent customer service, maximized sales, minimized costs, high bakery standards, compliance with food safety and H&S legislation, and a motivated team.
  2. Assist the Bakery Manager in recruiting, training, managing, motivating, reviewing, and developing a team capable of delivering business needs.
  3. Support in planning and monitoring staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage, including supervisory and management roles, fostering a positive team environment.
  4. Ensure products are consistently prepared, cooked, and presented to standard within a clean and safe bakery environment.
  5. Implement, monitor, and review company policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures by employees, customers, and third parties, including stock management, till operation, cash handling, and safety regulations.
  7. Assist in monitoring and reviewing performance standards.
  8. Support in planning, forecasting, managing, and reviewing sales targets to meet or exceed goals.
