Job summary

Gambit Search is partnering with a leading global advisory firm to recruit an ACA/ACCA-qualified auditor (or due to qualify in 2026) eager to move into a commercial, client-facing Assistant Manager role within restructuring.

This fast-growing team handles complex restructuring and insolvency engagements, building client relationships, managing workstreams, supporting senior staff, and contributing to business development across sectors.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA auditor or due to qualify in 2026.
• Experience in external audit with a move toward advisory and client-facing work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

We have partnered with a leading global advisory firm that is looking for a qualified or soon-to-be-qualified individual who has trained in audit and is looking to transition into a more commercial, client-facing role at Assistant Manager level.

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing global advisory firm specialising in deals, advisory and restructuring.

The Restructuring team works with businesses, lenders and other stakeholders across complex and often fast-moving situations, including distressed businesses, restructuring and formal insolvency.

Key Responsibilities

• Work across a variety of restructuring and insolvency engagements.
• Build relationships with clients, management teams, lawyers, lenders and other stakeholders.
• Manage your own workstreams and deliver high-quality analysis and advice.
• Support senior team members on complex and challenging situations.
• Get exposure to both restructuring advisory and formal insolvency work.
• Contribute to business development and new opportunities.
• Support and develop junior team members.

What they're Looking For

• ACA qualified or due to qualify in 2026, with a background in external audit, or an experienced restructuring professional.
• Someone looking to move from audit into a more commercial, advisory and client-facing role.
• Strong analytical skills and commercial awareness.
• Experience managing your own workstreams and delivering to deadlines.
• Restructuring or corporate insolvency experience is beneficial but not essential.
• JIEB or an insolvency qualification would be advantageous, but is not required.
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with clients and senior stakeholders.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach and a genuine interest in building a career in restructuring.
• Willingness to work across different sectors and travel when required.
