A well-known pub company in Inner Hope is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee operations and support the General Manager. You will motivate a passionate team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of food quality. The Hope & Anchor is a vibrant pub with scenic rooms that offers quality food and drink in one of South Devon’s most cherished coastal destinations.
You’ll be working in Hope Cove – a much-loved fishing village renowned for its golden beaches and breathtaking seascapes. Taking a front-row seat that’s a mere pebble’s throw from the water, the Hope & Anchor is perfectly placed for admiring the view and exploring all the area has to offer.
This exciting role will see you work in an inspiringpart of the world, motivating a team of passionate people while supporting andoccasionally stepping in for the General Manager.
About You:
Taking the helm when the General Manager is away, youmotivate team members to deliver their best and ensure everything is runningsmoothly and efficiently.
Creating a warm welcome to guests comes naturally toyou, making every first impression count to ensure experiences delight from theget-go.
Keeping a watchful eye over customer feedback meansyour team is always adapting to maintain high standards and improve wherenecessary.
You go above and beyond to ensure a consistently highlevel of service, supporting the full team including Front and Back of Houseduring peak times.
You oversee the consistent production of a qualityfood offering and recognise the importance of the Kitchen Team.
Having a wealth of experience in a similar role meansyou are able to recognise when team members need help and you’ll support whereneeded.
A keen eye for detail means you keep all admin andcash management systems ticking along as they should, taking responsibilitywhen the General Manager is away.
You know health and safety regulations like the backof your hand.
Team members see you as an inspiring role model andknow they can depend on you for support and development.
You take pride and responsibility for your owndevelopment, with an eye towards becoming a General Manager one day.
