Job summary

The Weyside, Guildford, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our busy, food-focused pub and champion exceptional customer service. You will guide the team, drive service standards, and help shape our guest experience across a scenic riverside setting.

You will work with the management team to train staff, implement our award-winning guest service, and develop talent for future management roles within Young’s pubs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a busy hospitality/pub environment.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a pro-active management approach.
• Ability to train and develop junior staff to sustain high service standards.

Assistant Manager

The Weyside is one of the busiest and best pubs in Guildford, on one of the most scenic river views in the country. We are a fresh food focused pub, with a premium wine, draught and cocktail selection. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience and take a collaborative approach to enhancing the customer experience and pub's offer whilst developing their own career pathway to lead a pub of their own one day. We are now looking to expand our management team.

What we look for in an Assistant Manager:

We are looking for a motivated & experienced Assistant Manager to join and lead our team in our stylish, food focused pub. As the successful Assistant Manager you will have a genuine passion for exceptional customer service and a pro-active approach to team management. You will be enthusiastic & driven to continue the success of our pub and play a pivotal part in training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers. You will also be someone who is committed to their career in hospitality and we can offer ongoing development to support you as you grow and succeed with us.
