Job summary

Zizzi is seeking an Assistant Manager in the UK to drive restaurant success alongside the General Manager. You will lead floors, manage shifts and keep the team inspired during busy periods while safeguarding food and service standards.

Ideal candidates will bring hands-on leadership, a passion for hospitality, and a track record of coaching teams to deliver memorable guest experiences. This is a path toward future general management with clear development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or Shift Leader in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant.
• Proven coaching skills for front of house teams.
• Strong obsession with maintaining high brand standards.
• Track record of delivering business growth and meeting KPIs.
• Results-focused mindset with interest in business results.

Responsibilities

• Step up as manager in GM's absence, running shifts and upholding brand values.
• Lead the customer journey, coaching FOH to deliver standout hospitality.
• Provide constructive feedback to develop the team and boost morale.
• Own the restaurant's curb appeal, maintaining standards and safety.
• Work with the GM to monitor performance and service metrics.

About the role

As an Assistant Manager, you are a key driver of our restaurant's success. Partnering closely with the General Manager, you will step up to lead the floor, manage shifts, and keep our team inspired during high-volume rushes. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance a buzzing dine-in, whilst keeping a sharp eye on food and service standards. What you'll be doing

• Step up as the manager in charge in the GM's absence, running seamless shifts and bringing our brand values to life.
• Live and breathe the customer journey, coaching your front of house team to deliver standout, "feel-good" hospitality every day.
• Support team development by giving constructive feedback, building confidence, and keeping team spirit high.
• Take full ownership of the restaurant's "curb appeal", keeping standards and safety spot on.
• Work with the GM to monitor performance, manage the financials, and track service metrics to be "better than yesterday".
