Job summary

Screwfix is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Retail Branch Manager and keep customers at the heart of everything we do. You’ll help run day-to-day store operations, balance visuals, stock, and service.

This role offers training, varied shifts starting from 22.5 hours over 3 days, and opportunities to grow with one of the UK’s leading trades suppliers.

• Experience in management and leadership at a retail or service business.
• Ability to lead a team and drive customer experience.
• Strong drive to hit targets and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain store standards alongside the Branch Manager.
• Inspire the team and deliver great customer experience.
• Oversee store management tasks including budgets, rotas, payroll, P&L analysis, stock and profitability.

Responsibilities

WHAT’S IT LIKE TO BE AN ASSISTANT MANAGER AT SCREWFIX?

• Store standards – alongside the retail Branch Manager, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, from front of house to the warehouse. Rolling up your sleeves to keep standards high
• Inspire your team – you’ll be hands on and lead by example, motivating your team to give a great customer experience
• Store management – budgets, Rota’s and Payroll, P&L analysis, managing stock and improving profits are all part of your role.
