Screwfix in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Manager for a busy Carlisle city store to support the Retail Branch Manager and drive store performance. You will lead a team, deliver outstanding service, manage rotas, stock and budgets, and be flexible to travel to neighboring locations.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the Branch Manager in day-to-day operations, from front-of-house to warehouse


• Leading and motivating your team to deliver outstanding customer service


• Managing rotas, payroll, budgets, and stock to keep the store running smoothly


• Driving performance and identifying opportunities for improvement


• Representing the store during high-profile visits and showcasing best practice


• Multi-skill between counter, picking, delivery support, and local outreach activities to build trade relationships and community connections.


• Be a team player beyond your own store by travelling to neighbouring locations when required, whether through staffing, training, or operational support
