Job description

Assistant Manager - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is a permanent full-time position working a variety of shifts 5 days from 7 each week, usually including at least one weekend shift.

Please note that for full-time positions, we generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits:

The salary offered for this position is between £30,240.00 - £31,392.52 per annum on a 43-hour contract.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager, ensuring customer care, quick deliveries, and routine shop maintenance for safety and cleanliness.
  • Motivate and guide your team to control operational costs such as shrinkage, waste, and payroll.
  • Assist with recruitment and induction of new team members.
