Role: Assistant Manager

Industry: Electrical Wholesale

Location: Ashford, Surrey

Salary: Salary depending on experience plus bonus and benefits.

Working hours: Monday to Friday only / no weekends

The Role
  • Sales Quotations & Sales Orders; Work closely with a large customer base ensuring orders are completed accurately and to a high standard.
  • Increase branch turnover and profit through development of existing and new business.
  • Call on regular spending accounts, re-contact and activate dormant accounts, and cold call potential new customers.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the branch in the Branch Manager's absence.
  • Supervise and motivate the team.
  • Maintain the branch: ensure it is well maintained, clean, and safe.
  • Resolve queries or problems.
  • Provide quotations and assist on the trade counter.
  • Drive sales to reach targets.
  • Manage stock levels, check stock, and reorder as needed.
The Person
  • Enthusiastic, confident, and hardworking.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Sales experience, preferably in electrical wholesale.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Good electrical and lighting product knowledge.
