Michael Page are delighted to be supporting a long standing client in their search for an Assistant Management Accountant based in Alfreton. You'll support the finance team by preparing reports, analysing data and assisting with month-end processes.

This hands-on role offers a salary up to £40,000 with study support and a permanent office-based position in Alfreton within the industrial and manufacturing sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounting and finance, ideally within industrial or manufacturing.
• Studying towards CIMA or ACCA; latter stage AAT Level 4 studiers are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of accounting software and Excel.
• Part-qualified or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Prepare and analyse financial reports to support decision-making.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Provide support for audits and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data.
• Help improve financial processes and systems where needed.
