Job Title: Management Accountant / Assistant Management Accountant
Location: Northampton
Salary: up to £45,000 depending on experience
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, hybrid working 3 days office based and 2 days working from home
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent

I'm delighted to be exclusively partnering with a fantastic, growing manufacturing business to support the hire of an Assistant Management Accountant or an Experienced Management Accountant. Whether you're ready to take that next step into a management accounting role or already bring hands-on experience to the table, this opportunity offers a clear path for growth and development.

This is a pivotal position within the UK finance team, joining at an exciting time of transformation - you'll play a key role in delivering accurate monthly and annual management accounts, while also supporting budgeting, forecasting, and commercial performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet reports, and internal financial statements
  • Ensure financial records, ledgers, and controls are accurate and compliant
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including risk analysis
  • Partner with department heads to provide analytical insight and drive financial performance
  • Continuously improve financial processes and support the ERP system implementation
  • Conduct balance sheet reviews and contribute to planning cycles

Key Requirements:

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified or part-qualified
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial finance role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles
  • Advanced Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
