Job description

A growing manufacturing group in Leeds is looking for a Management Accountant to support the consolidation of group accounts into their UK head office and play a key role in driving operational and financial improvements.

This is a hands-on role in a collaborative team, ideal for someone who enjoys getting under the bonnet of the numbers, challenging inefficiencies, and helping shape better systems, processes, and reporting over the next 12 months.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare monthly global functions accounts with commentary and variance analysis
  • Monthly reviews of global functions with department heads.
  • Support in the development of budgets and reforecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance against KPIs and business targets.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of accounting records for a foreign subsidiary.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to business partners and stakeholders.
  • Assist with year-end statutory reporting and liaise with external auditors.
  • VAT and EC sales submissions for foreign subsidiaries
  • Help with the maintenance and support of the ERP system
  • Assist in the implementation of finance systems and process improvements.
Support ad hoc financial projects and business case analysis
  • Part qualified - studying towards a Professional accountancy qualification.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
