Chase & Holland are partnering with a well-established group in Grimsby to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. The role supports the Finance Team with day-to-day accounting tasks and provides essential management information.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a similar varied accounts role including supporting with management accounts preparation.
• Excellent communication skill both written and verbal.
• Highly computer literate including Excel.
• Team player and ability to work in a close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the FC with day to day running of the accounts functions.
• Produce accurate management reports and analysis.
• Dealing with accounts queries and making sure that all issues are resolved.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Processing prepayments and accruals.
• Managing a fixed asset register.
• Produce quarterly VAT returns.
• Assist the production of forecast information weekly.
• Maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations.
• Provide support and cover for purchase and sales ledger functions.
• Setup and approve bank payments as required.
• Ensure statutory requirements are met including submission of ONS reports.
• Assist with annual budgeting process.
