Job summary

Chase & Holland is partnering with an established Grimsby group to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. You will support the Finance Team, helping deliver management accounts, analysis, and reconciliations in a profitable, growth-minded environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar accounts role including supporting management accounts preparation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Highly computer literate with strong Excel abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the FC with the day to day running of the accounts functions.
• Produce accurate management reports and analysis.
• Address accounts queries and ensure all issues are resolved.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of GL accounts.
• Process prepayments and accruals; manage fixed asset register.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and forecast information weekly.
• Support purchase and sales ledger functions and bank payments.

Assistant Management Accountant key responsibilities:

• Assist the FC with the day to day running of the accounts functions
• Produce accurate management reports and analysis
• Dealing with accounts queries and making sure that all issues are resolved
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Processing prepayments and accruals
• Managing a fixed asset register
• Produce quarterly VAT returns
• Assist the production of forecast information weekly
• Maintain accurate general ledger account reconciliations
• Provide support and cover for purchase and sales ledger functions
• Setup and approve bank payments as required
• Ensure statutory requirements are met including submission of ONS reports
• Assist with annual budgeting process

Requirements:

• Experience working in a similar varied accounts role including supporting with management accounts preparation
• Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
• Highly computer literate including Excel
• Team player and ability to work in a close-knit team
