Job Description

We offer an excellent opportunity to start your finance career with a 12-month Industrial Student Placement as an Assistant Management Accountant at our Head Office in Smethwick, starting Summer 2025. You will be involved in daily finance activities, develop business partnering and commercial skills, and gain exposure across various finance areas through rotational work.

You will be encouraged to think innovatively, challenge the status quo, and implement creative ideas with responsibility for their success.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with the preparation of management information, including weekly and monthly accounts
2. Assisting with the preparation and review of presentations and cost analysis
3. Supporting the Internal Control team with risk management and internal audits
4. Participating in ad-hoc strategic projects
5. Producing financial analysis and insights

Qualifications

Applicants should be on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification in any discipline, currently in their penultimate year at university. Additional requirements include:

• Minimum Grade B GCSE Maths (or equivalents)
• Minimum Grade B GCSE English Language (or equivalents)
• Minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points (top 3 A-Level grades considered; General Studies not accepted)

Must be enrolled in a four-year degree program with a sandwich placement element, and have UK work permission by start date.
