Qualifications

Overview

Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Hours: Full Time Permanent Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: 30,000 - 32,000 per annum

Our client, a well-established and family-owned organisation, is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance department. This role offers involvement in a variety of financial areas of the business and reports directly to the Management Accountant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post monthly valuations for stock and other inventories.
  • Post monthly accruals for payroll, packaging, fuel, and other expenses.
  • Reconcile monthly fuel accounts and related fleet accruals.
  • Assist in the preparation of departmental accounts, investigating and resolving any variances.
  • Support the production of management accounts, including investigating variances and maintaining key files.
  • Reconcile monthly data and sales analysis using Excel.
  • Assist with the analysis of financial performance.
  • Aid with purchase ledger postings and account maintenance.
  • Maintain records to support annual audit and tax analysis requirements.
  • Assist with year-end stocktaking as required.
  • Support the posting of bank transactions.
Key Skills
  • Part-Qualified CIMA/ACCA or AAT Qualified would be desirable.
  • Experience with management accounts or ledger is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, highly numerate, and inquisitive.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
