The Assistant Management Accountant role involves supporting the finance team with accurate financial reporting, management accounting, audit and analysis, contributing to the success of the energy industry. Description

The Assistant Management Accountant duties will include:

• Support the Senior Finance Manager, Project Management to ensure that monthly and annual responsibilities are satisfied in line with expectations
• Supporting transactional information eg purchase order & invoice processing, expenses, weekly bank reconciliations
• Take ownership of the preparation of monthly management accounts for the Enviromena Group
• Assist in preparation and posting of monthly journals (eg prepayments & accruals)
• Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Assist the annual tax, accounting, and audit year-end processes
• Assist in execution of activities detailed on monthly to-do lists (eg VAT returns, CIS returns)
• Support in the preparation of annual statutory accounts for the Group
• Assist in monthly/ quarterly project meetings- Business development, 'EPC' projects & 'O&M' sites.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support to the finance team and other departments
  
  

Profile

A Successful Assistant Management Accountant Should Have

• A relevant qualification or progress toward certification in accounting or finance.
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with experience of managing competing workloads
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage their own workload using organisational and time management skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ideally you will have previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV software with working knowledge of statutory accounting, intercompany arrangements and debt.
