Assistant Management Accountant | £30,000 - £35,000 + Study | Preston | Broad and varied exposure | High-growth, acquisitive business

Axon Moore delighted to be exclusively partnering with an acqusitive business in Preston to recruit a hard-working Assistant Management Accountant seeking to take on a varied, month-end centred role within a small, tight-knit finance team.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist with the production of monthly management accounts

Balance sheet reconciliations

Accruals and prepayments

Cashflow forecasting

Analysis of promotional campaigns / commercial activity

Intercompany accounting, i.e. group recharges

Bank reconciliations

Support the accounts payable department

Proactively chasing overdue debt where required

Year-end and audit support

Ad-hoc duties

Required Experience and Skills:

AAT Qualified (desired)

At least 3 years’ experience within a finance/accounts role

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good organisational and time-keeping skills

High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role

Good understanding of double entries and basic accounting practices

Good IT and MS Excel skills
