Job Description

The Assistant Management Accountant will:

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconcile accounts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide financial analysis to aid decision-making within the Accounting & Finance department.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal reporting standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyse financial data.
• Assist in preparing VAT and other tax returns.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience in preparing the month end accounts.
• Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Familiarity with accounting software and Excel proficiency.
• An understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements within Accounting & Finance.
• A passion for working in the retail industry.
• A relevant qualification in accounting or finance (such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
