Assistant Management Accountant

Hays are looking for an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join an exciting financial services business based out of Manchester City Centre. This is a 12-month fixed-term role covering maternity leave with the possibility to be made permanent after completion.

You will be responsible for supporting the Management Accountant and:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts; accruals, pre-payments and journals.
• Bank/statement reconciliations.
• Provide support to the finance team.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse financial data and provide insights.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations.

You will have:

• 2+ years of experience in management accounting.
• AAT Technician level qualification (NVQ4) or equivalent.
• Started ACCA or CIMA.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
